Scheduling your exam:
- To schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam
Review the ProProctor User Guide and confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring. Remote proctored online exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application. For a remotely proctored exam, you must supply the computer which must have a camera, microphone and an internet connection and be able to install a lightweight app prior to the test event. You will be able to take the exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely.

The Defense Activity for Non-traditional Education Support (DANTES) helps service members pursue their educational goals by providing funding for DSST exams. Eligible Military service members and eligible spouses will be able to take any first attempt DSST exam for free. Please be advised that as of December 2010, DANTES no longer funds retesting on a previously funded DSST exam title.
Military service members need to provide their Common Access Card (CAC) and one valid government–issued identification card at the time of check in. You will not be able to sit for the exam without providing the CAC. The government-issued identification card (e.g., driver’s license, or state-issued identification card) must not be expired. The name on the identification card must exactly match the name used to register for the exam (including designations such as “Jr.” and “III”).
You will be prompted to provide the site code of the school or designated institution you want to receive your scores at time of scheduling. All scores, regardless of pass or fail, will be sent to the indicated institution. If you fail to provide a site code your scores will not be sent and you will incur a fee for future score reporting.
Once you have completed your exam you will receive your score report in the email address provided at time of scheduling.
There is a wait period of 30 days before you can retake any DSST examination. If you attempt to take a DSST exam title before the wait period has passed, your scores for this exam will be considered invalid, and Prometric will notify the credit-granting institution.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your exam session appointment, you must do so a minimum of 48 hours prior to testing.
