TAKE A TEST DRIVE BEFORE EXAM DAY

GBCI invites you to experience the scheduling and test delivery process that you will go through when taking your GBCI exam through Prometric’s network of test centers or online via ProProctor platform.

The Test Drive will provide you the opportunity to take a 30-minute ‘dry-run” of the complete check-in and test delivery process through Prometric’s test centers or online remotely proctored via ProProctor platform.

There are two ways to experience the Test Drive:

Test Center: By driving to the testing center in advance, you can familiarize yourself with the location of the testing center.  Once you get there, the Test Drive experience includes check-in, ID confirmation, seating, tutorial, the Test Drive exam, and check-out. Once checked in, you'll be exposed to the full testing experience such as the use of lockers, testing at a computer and exposure to Test Center Administrators (exam proctors) walk-throughs, which will occur during your GBCI exam.

Then simply follow the on-screen steps which will walk you through the scheduling process.

Remote Proctoring:  The Test Drive experience includes remote check-in, ID confirmation, 360˚ environmental check and person check, ProProctor tutorial, sample test, and survey. Once checked in, you'll be exposed to the full testing experience such as the use of the digital scratch pad, the exam interface, and interaction with the Readiness Agent and Remote Proctor via chat, which will occur during your remotely proctored GBCI exam.

Remotely proctored online exams are offered online through Prometric’s ProProctor application. Before attempting to schedule a remotely proctored exam, you must read ProProctor User Guide in its entirety and confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring. To confirm that your computer and network will allow testing through ProProctor, click here

If the system readiness check fails, the page will alert you to the failed item and prompt you to troubleshoot the errors and complete the check again. Note that the system readiness check does not assess whether you have the necessary permission levels to install and launch the ProProctor application.  You may need to temporarily disable your browser’s ad blockers and computer’s firewall and antivirus as per ProProctor’s installation guides.   Carefully review the ProProctor Software Installation guides (Windows OS and Mac OS).

In order to proceed with this option, you must have access to a computer with a webcam, a microphone and a stable internet connection. You must also be able to install a the ProProctor application prior to the exam

For best internet connectivity, GBCI recommends that you connect to the internet with an Ethernet cable for the duration of your exam rather than using a wireless connection. Wireless connections are less stable and can lead to sudden disconnections which can result in you being dropped from your exam. If you are using a wireless connection, position your device where you receive the strongest signal. Make sure that there are no other devices (phones, tablets, gaming/video streaming devices or TVs) or users connected to your internet connection for the duration of your exam.

If you are using an employer-issued computer prior to scheduling your exam, click here.

For more information about remotely proctored exams review the ProProctor’s FAQs and GBCI’s Online Exam FAQs.

If you are interested in taking the Test Drive online via the ProProctor platform, please click here.

Then simply follow the on-screen steps which will walk you through the scheduling process.

Please note that your performance in the Test Drive will not predict your success or failure of your GBCI exam. You will have 30 minutes to review the GBCI non-disclosure agreement, platform tutorial and answer the sample questions and survey.  These questions are for the sole purpose of allowing you to become familiar with the computerized exam.
