To register for the OPE, please contact Prometric, the Judicial Council’s interpreting testing vendor, at 1-800-967-1139, option 1, option 2, option 3, Monday–Friday, 5 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (PST). Registration is only available by phone.
Please be prepared to provide the following:
- Prometric ID number (first-time test takers will be assigned this number)
- Testing language (English or Foreign language)
- Preferred testing location
- Debit or credit card information to pay the 186.29 application fee for the OPE
- Your full contact information (including address, e-mail, and phone number) and other information, as needed, to verify your identification
