Information About HSPA

HSPA Testing Information - Learn more about the tests offered by Prometric by visiting the myHSPA.org Web site.

All HSPA exams are available throughout the year, and are offered by testing at a Prometric Testing Center.

Candidates for an HSPA exam may not schedule until they have received application approval from HSPA, along with an Eligibility ID.

  • Locate: Search the locations where your test is offered
  • Schedule: Choose a test, date, time and location
  • Confirm: Double-check your test appointment details
  • Reschedule/Cancel: Change or cancel an existing test appointment


Scheduling Your Exam

To schedule your exam at a Prometric Testing Center, select the action link to “Schedule” and follow the prompts on the screen. 

If you are requiring special accommodations to test, please ensure they have been approved prior to scheduling your exam.

After scheduling your exam, please review your appointment confirmation email to ensure that you have the correct exam, date, time, and testing location.  If you do not receive a confirmation email, the appointment has either not been completed, or your email was entered incorrectly. 


On Exam Day

What to Bring to the Testing Center 

When arriving to take your exam, the Prometric representative will ask for one valid form of ID showing both: 

 

  • Your current photo 
  • Your signature 

Any form of ID presented must be current and non-expired, and exactly match the first and last name(s) provided on your application and appearing on your scheduling letter from HSPA. Any typos/misspellings or change of name(s) due to marriage, divorce, or other reasons must be made with HSPA prior to scheduling an exam.  (Valid forms of ID include: passport, driver’s license, state/federal government ID card, employee/military/student ID cards)

 
Center Important Test Day Reminders 


You must arrive for your test a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. Candidates who arrive later than their scheduled exam start time, for any reason, are subject to availability and may not be able to take the exam, resulting in a no-show, thereby forfeiting the exam fee.

Rescheduling Exams 


If you find that you must reschedule your exam appointment, please do so at least 2 business days or more before your originally scheduled exam appointment to avoid a rescheduling fee charged by Prometric. 

 

Cancellation less than 2 business days before test day, failure to appear, or arriving 15 minutes late will result in candidates forfeiting all fees paid and needing to submit a retake application in order to test.
