There are now two ways to take your Matrix42 certification exam. As a candidate you have the option to take your exam either in a Prometric Testing Center or through a remotely proctored internet enabled location of your choice where you must provide a computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection. Tablets, smart phones, and other mobile devices cannot be used to take the exam and are prohibited. To confirm your computer will allow you to test through ProProctor™ please click here to perform a system check prior to scheduling your exam.

Scheduling your Exam

Confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring first. Online, remote exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application. For a remotely proctored exam, you must supply the computer which must have a camera, microphone and an internet connection and be able to install a lightweight app prior to the test event. Tablets, smart phones, and other mobile devices cannot be used to take the exam and are prohibited. You will be able to take the exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely.

For candidates in need of technical support while taking their ProProctor exam, please call 800-226-7958. The ProProctor exam support line is available daily from 7 AM - 12:30 AM EDT.

After scheduling your exam, please review your appointment confirmation email to ensure that you have the correct exam, date, time, and testing location. 

Rescheduling Exams

If you find that you must reschedule your exam appointment, please do so at least 30 days or more before your originally scheduled exam appointment to avoid a rescheduling fee. Rescheduling fees will apply as follows:

  • More than 30 days in advance of the originally scheduled exam appointment:  No fee
  • 5-29 calendar days in advance of the original exam appointment:  US $25 fee
  • Less than 5 calendar days in advance of original exam appointment:
    • No ability to reschedule/cancel exam
    • Exam fees will be forfeited 

What to Bring to the Testing Center

You will be required to present a valid, non-expired government-issued ID in Latin characters with a current photo and signature. The name on the identification must be the same as the name that appears on your exam application. If you fail to produce the proper form of identification, you will not be admitted to the examination and will forfeit your exam fees.

What to Expect on Exam Day

Important Test Day Reminders

  • Review your appointment confirmation email to confirm your appointment time.
  • Arrive at the testing center at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment time regardless of whether your appointment is in-person or remotely proctored.
  • Review driving directions. Allow enough travel time including traffic, parking, locating the test center, and checking in. Depending on the location of the testing facility, additional parking fees may apply. Prometric does not have the ability to validate parking.
  • Bring a valid, non-expired government-issued ID in Latin characters with a current photo and signature. The name on the identification must be the same as the name that appears on your exam application.
  • Prometric is unable to provide a completely noise-free environment. Consider bringing your own soft ear plugs or use the test center-provided headphones.
  • No breaks are scheduled during the exam. Candidates may take unscheduled breaks as needed but may not leave the testing facility and will not be given extra time on the exam.​​​​​​​

Preliminary Score Reports  

Examinees receive their preliminary results as shown on the screen at the end of the exam via email.  The email is sent to the address the examinee used when applying for the exam. The email is sent within 24 hours of completing the exam.
