Prometric is one of 50 organizations honored by Drexel University for data-driven business impact
July 13, 2023 - Prometric®, a global leader of technology-enabled testing and assessment solutions, announced today that the company was selected as one of the 2023 Drexel LeBow Analytics 50 honorees. The award, presented annually by Drexel University and its LeBow College of Business: Center for Business Analytics, is given to 50 innovative organizations that use analytics to solve business challenges.

Each year, honorees are evaluated on the complexity of the business challenge, the analytics solution implemented, and the solution’s business impact on the organization. When Covid-19 closed traditional brick-and-mortar test centers, Prometric shifted their operations and technology to offer licensure and certification exams remotely. Then to scale that remote solution 1,000x while simultaneously reopening 450+ global brick-and-mortar test centers, Prometric leveraged external data to better understand occupancy rates and customers that could be served, and then layered that with internal data such as bookings and staffing levels.
This cross-functional approach to collecting external qualitative data and turning it into something quantitative was done at a pace and scale never previously performed by the industry. Other notable advancements in performance include introduction of workforce management tools and analytics, improved capacity management to ensure optimal use of available appointments, and the introduction of an end-to-end successful testing metric that transformed the business by highlighting areas of need.
“In our fifth iteration of recognizing analytics distinction, we’re seeing more companies taking steps to achieve holistic views of their data,” said Diana Jones, executive director of the Center for Business Analytics. “Several of this year’s honored efforts reflect this type of transformation – garnering a more comprehensive understanding of the business that allows companies to make impactful decisions.”
