Appointment of Industry Veteran Demonstrates Continued Leadership in Ensuring Fair & Equal Access to Assessment Products and Services
Prometric LLC (“Prometric”), a global leader in test development, test delivery, and data services, today announced Prometric-veteran Marc Vanhasselt will assume the role of Vice President, Accessibility. The creation of this new leadership position represents the next phase in Prometric’s long-standing commitment to ensuring all test takers receive fair and equal opportunities to access and use Prometric’s products and services—enabling them to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and competency in their chosen professions and fields of study.
“Prometric has been an industry leader in applying innovative technologies, processes, and organizational structures to continually improve the service experience of each and every test taker. This includes the introduction of a personalized case management candidate support model, as well as providing respectful, secure accommodations for nursing mothers at our professional in-center testing locations,” said Roy Simrell, Prometric’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Marc has played a key role in driving many of these innovations in his various leadership capacities, and I am confident that this new focus on the user experience will yield even greater benefits to our global test taker and client communities.”
In the role of Vice President, Accessibility, Vanhasselt will be responsible for directing Prometric’s investment in technological and operational enhancements and innovations. This will help ensure all corporate capabilities (including technology products, production systems, public websites, test center operations, and candidate support functions) not only comply with all appropriate regulations and accessibility standards, but also provide an exceptional experience for each of the more than seven million test takers Prometric supports annually. He will also collaborate with technology, operations, and client leadership teams to develop and execute Prometric’s accessibility strategy. Prior to his current role, Vanhasselt provided executive leadership in the areas of test development solutions and global test center operations.
“Prometric has long been a pioneer in ensuring that all candidates have equal access, and having a dedicated organizational focus will better unify our leadership position,” said Vanhasselt. “We see this as an ethical imperative and a critical requirement for the organization as we continue to lead the assessment industry.”
