Prometric is scheduled to resume testing for essential services programs in U.S. and Canada test centers effective May 1st, where we are able to do so. Oklahoma Insurance exams are deemed as essential. As of May 1, Prometric plans to resume testing in several markets worldwide,. Please click here for the most up-to-date list. Note that this list is based on governmental clearance and other market factors, and is subject to change daily.
Due to COVID-19, we are making testing procedure modifications at our centers to ensure the safety of our test takers and staff, provided here. All test takers are required to adhere to these policies and procedures while at the Prometric test center. Failure to do so will result in your inability to test.
We also ask you practice other transmission-preventative measures, including washing your hands frequently with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or soap & water for at least 20 seconds; covering your mouth and nose with your elbow or a tissue while coughing or sneezing; and avoiding touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. For additional measures, we recommend reviewing the CDC’s Steps to Prevent Illness.
By clicking "confirm appointment" below, you acknowledge and agree to the attached guidelines, including bringing and wearing a face mask or not being allowed to enter the test center. If you are uncomfortable or unable to test for any reason, you can reschedule your appointment for no additional charge, prior to your testing date.
ATTENTION: Please ensure when scheduling your exam that you provide Prometric with the correct DOB and SSN. Failure to enter the correct information will PREVENT you from applying for licensure. Mistakes are very costly and can take weeks for the exam vendor to fix. Have your ID in hand to verify the correct data when you register for your exam. Contact Prometric, not the Insurance Department, to make corrections. You may not apply for a license until the data is correct and has time to be resubmitted to NIPR from Prometric.
Effective July 1, 2019 Oklahoma Insurance Department licensing exams will transition to one-part examinations (state and general combined). Candidates will be required to score 70% on the entire exam to pass. Candidates that score below 70% will be required to retake the entire exam.
