📣 2026 Spring Bilingual Interpreting Examination (BIE) – Registration CLOSED!
🌟Looking Ahead:
Candidates seeking to test in all available languages will have an opportunity when exam registration resumes later this year. Interested candidates are encouraged to frequently visit this page for the latest interpreter exam updates.

*All candidates must pass and possess valid Written Examination scores before registering for the BIE. The Written Examination scores are valid for six (6) years or four (4) BIE attempts, whichever comes first. Those with valid exam scores can register for the BIE in their target language when available. Candidates failing the BIE a total of four (4) times must retake the Written Examination.
** If candidates do not receive their examination scores within 30 to 45 days, they should contact Prometric for updates.
📋 Administration Details
📅 Exam Administration Dates: March 18, 2026 – April 6, 2026
Exam Locations: Camarillo, Culver City, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose.
(The administration will adhere to federal, state, and local health and safety guidelines).
The following exam languages are expected to be offered:
Arabic (Egyptian/Levantine), Farsi (Persian), Mandarin, Punjabi (India), and Spanish.

Candidates are advised to reconfirm their appointment with Prometric staff both during the scheduling process and after receiving email written confirmation, to verify the accuracy of all details. If you do not receive an email confirming your appointment within 24/48 hours after scheduling, please contact Prometric at (866) 241-3118, option 2, Monday through Friday, between 5:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (PST).
