CIOT - The Chartered Institute of Taxation
There are now two ways to take your CIOT exams.
If you are taking one of the following exams you must take it in a Prometric testing Centre: These exams cannot be taken remotely:

Professional Responsibilities & Ethics
To schedule your exam at a Prometric Testing Centre – select the option test in-person exam which means you are taking your exam in a test centre.
If you are taking one of the following exams you must take it through ProProctor at a remotely proctored internet enabled location of your choice where you must provide a computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection. To confirm your computer will allow you to test through ProProctor™ please click here to perform a system check prior to scheduling your exam.

Your ProProctor delivered exam will be scheduled by the CIOT Operations team and you will receive a confirmation email with the scheduled date and time of your exam. Please contact The Education Team by telephone on +44(0)20 7340 0550 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam – select the option to test remotely proctored exams.

Important – if you need to sit the Law Computer Based Examinations (CBEs) according to Scots Law you must contact The Education Team by telephone on +44(0)20 7340 0550 or email email@example.com. If you need to sit under England, Wales and Northern Ireland Law you must select the “Law” option. Take care to select the correct option when booking as this cannot be amended later.
If you require extra time or alternative arrangements in the examination, please ensure that you have contacted the Education Team (on the details provided above) prior to booking. If you do not contact the Education Team your booking may not be correct and may require cancellation.
When you cancel your appointment, you must be aware that depending upon the policies and procedures set forth by your sponsoring organization and their deadlines for cancellation, you may be required to reapply and pay appropriate fees to the sponsoring organization prior to scheduling a new appointment. Please contact your sponsoring organization for more information.
Note that fees paid for cancelled appointments are non-refundable.
