There are now two ways to take your exam. As a candidate, you have the option to take your exam either in a Prometric Testing Center or through a remotely proctored internet enabled location of your choice where you must provide a computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection.

  1. To schedule your exam at a Prometric Testing Center

Select “Schedule my test” from the options on the left hand side.

  1. To schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam

Confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring first. Remote exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctorTM application online. For a remotely proctored exam, you must supply a computer which must have a camera, microphone and an internet connection and be able to install a lightweight app prior to the test event. You will be able to take the exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely.

Reschedule your remotely proctored exam

General Information

  • Special testing accommodations: If you require special testing accommodations to take your exam, you need to contact NRCA prior to scheduling your exam appointment.

  • Identification requirements: To gain admission to the testing center, you must present a valid (unexpired) government issued photo ID. Failure to supply proper ID at the time of the exam is considered a missed appointment.

  • Cancelation or rescheduling: An exam appointment must be canceled or rescheduled 30 days prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid paying an additional fee. Click on the appropriate icon above to cancel or reschedule your exam appointment.

  • Late arrival or failing to arrive for a scheduled exam: Arriving late or failing to arrive for a scheduled exam is considered a missed appointment and will require an additional fee to reschedule.

  • Retake fee: If you are required to retake the online exam, an additional fee will be assessed as follows: $199 for NRCA members and $399 for nonmembers.
