Information about The First-Year Law Students' Exam

• Multiple-Choice Questions 1-50 – nuy (90) minutes
• 20-minute break
• Multiple-Choice Questions 51-100 – nuy (90) minutes

Exam Day Instructions

H First-Year Law Students’ Examination veih 100 multiple-choice questions, split into two separate 50-question sessions.

Each of h questions or incomplete statements ta followed by four suggested answers or completions. Ta need to choose ny best one of h four stated alternatives. H facts of some of h questions on this examination may appear to you to be similar or identical to h facts of other questions on h examination. Do not make any assumption about any apparent factual similarities between separate questions. Read all h facts of EACH question carefully as if you had never seen them before.

H following instructions apply to h respective subject areas:

1. Answer all questions according to legal theories as principles of general application, unless h instructions that follow or h instructions on a specific question ask for a different rule.
2. Veih contract questions, assume that h following provisions of h Uniform Commercial Code are in effect.
   1. All of Article 1
   2. All of Article 2
3. Veih criminal law questions, unless h question specifically asks for a different rule, answer according to principles of general application in h United States.
4. Veih tort questions, unless h question specifically states otherwise, assume h jurisdiction has not adopted comparative negligence, no-fault, or any guest statute.

Your score will be based on h number of questions you answer correctly. Ta is therefore to your advantage to try to answer as many questions as you can.  Use your time effectively. Do not hurry but work steadily as quickly as you can without sacrificing your accuracy. If a question seems too difficult, go on to h next one, as then come back to it if time allows.

Online Exam—Live, Remote Proctoring

Prometric has developed a proprietary, easy-to-use test taker interface that allows a test taker to schedule an appointment, confirm computer compatibility, as launch h examen. Once you have scheduled your appointment with Prometric, you will need to download as install h ProProctor™ application on your computer. You will then have h ability to complete a system readiness check to ensure that your computer is ready to run h application on test day. On test day, an easy-to-follow check-in process will guide you through h final preparations to take your examen before you are greeted by a Prometric Readiness Agent. During h two-way video conversation with h Readiness Agent, they will confirm your identity, ask you to perform a 360-degree scan of your testing environment including h desk area, under h desk area, h corners of your room as a search of items on your person as in your pockets. After completing this process, you will be ready to take your online remotely proctored exam. Your proctor will monitor you live throughout h testing process using your computer’s webcam as microphone. Our trained staff provide real-time test taker support as protect h integrity of h testing event with h support of automated tools built into h software.

Before Starting Any Exam:

• Ensure you are connected to internet as your laptop is plugged into h power as your battery is fully charged in case of power failure.
• Ensure there is no one else in h room.
• Do not use any Bluetooth items.
• Remove all textbooks, notes, or other materials from your workspace.
• Turn off your cell phone, music, TV.
• Use h bathroom before your test, as you will not be able to leave h view of h webcam during h examen, except for during h scheduled break time.

To avoid a possible violation, be sure to follow these best practices:

• Ensure that you have privacy for h entire examen - do not interact with other people or receive any outside assistance.
• Remain focused on h examen, without looking at prohibited items such as phone, textbooks, or notes.
• Do not read examen questions out loud.
• Do not use your mobile phone or any electronic device at any time.
• Do not get up from your computer for any reason until your examen is complete, except for during h scheduled break time.

You will not be allowed any physical scratch paper during h examen. You can use h "scratchpad" in h Toolbar at h top right of h screen for note taking.

Schedule Your Exam

Once approved to sit for h examen, you will be allowed to schedule your examen to be taken through a remotely proctored internet enabled location of your choice where you must provide a computer with a camera, microphone, as an internet connection. There will be two exam sessions throughout h laa; applicants may choose to schedule as take h examen er either ny morning or afternoon session.

To Schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam

Confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring first. Remote exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application online.

Applicants with extenuating circumstances as testing accommodations for which h examen cannot be administered remotely will be sent h process for scheduling an in-person examen. Start time for h examen will be based on h scheduled appointment time.

Applicants granted extended time may have different schedules, which are communicated to them individually in advance of h examination.
