Information About HSPA
HSPA Testing Information - Learn more about the tests offered by Prometric by visiting the myHSPA.org Web site.
All HSPA exams are available throughout the year and are only administered at a Prometric Testing Center.
Candidates for an HSPA exam may not schedule until they have received application approval from HSPA, along with an Eligibility ID.

- Locate: Search the locations where your test is offered
- Schedule: Choose a test date, time and location (you must have applied through HSPA first and received an eligibility number)
- Confirm: Double-check your test appointment details
- Reschedule/Cancel: Change or cancel an existing test appointment (this cannot be done within three business days of your exam date)
Scheduling Your Exam
To schedule your exam at a Prometric Testing Center, select the action link above to “Schedule” and follow the prompts on the screen.
If you require special accommodations to test, please ensure they have been approved before scheduling your exam. HSPA does comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you require special accommodations to test, please ensure they have been submitted to and approved by HSPA before scheduling your exam. After scheduling your exam, please review your appointment confirmation email to ensure that you have the correct exam, date, time, and testing location. If you do not receive a confirmation email, the appointment has either not been completed, or your email was entered incorrectly.
On Exam Day
Upon arrival, a required photo image will be captured by a Prometric representative during the check-in process on your exam day.
What to Bring to the Testing Center
When arriving to take your exam, the Prometric representative will ask for one valid form of ID showing each of the following:
- Your current photo
- Your signature
- A valid expiration date
Any form of ID presented must be current and non-expired, and exactly match the first and last name(s) provided on your application and appearing on your scheduling letter from HSPA. Any typos/misspellings or change of name(s) due to marriage, divorce, or other reasons must be made with HSPA prior to scheduling an exam. (Valid forms of ID include: passport, driver’s license, state/federal government ID card, employee/military/student ID cards)
Center Important Test Day Reminders
You must arrive for your test a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. Candidates who arrive later than their scheduled exam start time, for any reason, are subject to availability and may not be able to take the exam, resulting in a no-show, thereby forfeiting the exam fee.

Rescheduling Exams
HSPA bears NO responsibility for the scheduling or rescheduling of any exam appointments. An appointment must be rescheduled no later than noon EST, three (3) business days in advance of your test date. (For example: an appointment on Wednesday cannot be rescheduled after 12:00 noon EST on Friday; an appointment on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday cannot be rescheduled after 12:00 noon EST on Wednesday.) Applicants will NOT be able to reschedule if their test date is less than three business days away. Appointments can be rescheduled online (available 24 hours a day) or by phone (available Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm EST.) Any rescheduling fees are paid directly to Prometric at the time of rescheduling.
