This site is intended for candidates who have been approved to take the NCIDQ Exam and have paid the exam fee(s) for the exam(s) they wish to take during a specific exam administration, to schedule their exam appointment(s):

• Interior Design Fundamentals Exam (IDFX)
• Interior Design Professional Exam (IDPX)
• Practicum Exam (PRAC)

The NCIDQ Exams are administered during the entire month of April and October. Refer to the NCIDQ Candidate Handbook for all things related to the NCIDQ exam.

You now have the option to take your exam at a Prometric Testing Center or as a remotely proctored exam.

Option 1 Prometric Test Center (in person)

You can take your NCIDQ exam at any Prometric Test Center globally.  CIDQ cannot, however, guarantee that your preferred date, time and location will be available. You are encouraged to schedule for your exam(s) as soon as possible during the registration period in order to secure the date(s) and time(s) and location you prefer. Option 2 Remotely Proctored Exam for IDFX or IDPX exams ONLY

* Remote proctoring enables candidates to take an exam in a remote location, such as your home while maintaining the exam's integrity and exam security.

To schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam

Review the ProProctor User Guide and confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring.  Remote proctored exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application. For a remotely proctored exam, you must use a computer that has a camera, microphone and an internet connection and be able to install a lightweight app prior to the test event. You will be able to take the exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely.
