About the Chartered Fintech Professional (CFtP) qualification

The Chartered Fintech Professional (CFtP) qualification is developed by GFI, in collaboration with its academic partners – the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and the Shanghai Institute of International Finance Center (SIIFC) of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

The aims of the qualification are the promotion of the field of Fintech and professionalism in the Fintech industry. In addition, the CFtP also provides a pathway for professionals from other industries who aspire to make a career in Fintech.

The CFtP qualification examination consists of 5 papers across two levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Upon successful completion of all the exams for the two levels as well as satisfying experience requirements, candidates will be awarded the Charter.

Scheduling your exam:

There are now two ways to take your exam. You have the option to take your exam either in a Prometric Testing Center or at a location of your choice where you must provide a computer with a camera, microphone and an internet connection with a Remote Proctor.

To schedule your exam at a Prometric Testing Center

To check test center availability in your area and make your appointment at a Prometric Test Center, select the appropriate icon on left hand side under Test Center Exam. Please note that for this CFtP examination window of April and July 2023, Test Center Exams are only made available for candidates testing in Singapore and Shanghai. Capacity is highly limited in each location and bookings will be on a first-come-first-served basis, based on available seats in ProScheduler at your time of scheduling.

To schedule a Remotely Proctored Exam

Review the ProProctor User Guide and confirm your computer’s compatibility to allow remote proctoring.  Remote proctored online exams are offered using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application. For a remotely proctored exam, you must supply the computer which must have a camera, microphone and an internet connection and be able to install a lightweight app prior to the test event. You will be able to take the exam online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely.

To confirm that your computer and network will allow testing through ProProctor™, click here.
