Apple Certification Programs
Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server Certifications are for IT professionals who support, design, deploy, and manage Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server solutions.
Pro Applications Certifications are for creative professionals who use Apple's professional digital applications in varying capacities, including: editors, filmmakers, sound designers, photographers, special effects artists, teachers and more.
Associate Certifications are available for professionals, educators and students to validate entry-level skills in Mac Integration and iWork.
Hardware Certifications are for Macintosh service technicians and employees of Apple Authorized Service Providers.
Steps to Certification
- 1. Prepare for the exam:
- How you learn is up to you - take a class, read a book, or learn online.
- Download and review Exam Preparation Guides
- Review the Apple Certification Program Agreement. You will be asked to accept this Agreement before taking an Apple exam, and if you do not agree at that time, you will still be charged a non-refundable exam fee.
- 2. Choose a location and register for the exam:
- Apple Authorized Training Centers (AATCs) offer Mac OS X, Xsan, Pro Apps and iWork exams
- Prometric Testing Centers offer Mac OS X exams and the Final Cut Pro Level One exam (NOTE: when registering for these exams, enter Tech ID: APL12345)
NOTE: Hardware exams are offered only at Prometric Testing Centers and at AATCs who offer Hardware training. Only Hardware exams require an Apple Tech ID - if you do not have a Tech ID, register for one.
