Thomson Prometric Takes Full Control of Japan-Based R-Prometric K.K.
BALTIMORE, MD. January 24, 2007 – Thomson Prometric, the global leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services, today announced the completion of its successful purchase of all shares of Japanese testing company and affiliate R-Prometric K.K., now a wholly-owned subsidiary. The company was created as a joint venture in a 1999 partnership between Prometric and Recruit, a well-known Japanese corporate testing company.
Since its inception, R-Prometric has successfully served such high-profile clients as the Japanese Association of Securities Dealers and the General Insurance Association of Japan. The company has grown consistently by successfully administering tests to over one million candidates throughout Japan over the last seven years.
