Thomson Prometric Gives Knowledge Test Takers More Scheduling Choices

Online Test Scheduling Enables More Convenience

BALTIMORE, MD. JUNE 28, 2004 - Thomson PROMETRIC, THE GLOBAL LEADER IN TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED TESTING AND ASSESSMENT SERVICES, and part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), today announced the release of Prometric Choice – an enhancement to its existing online test registration service, www.Prometric.com, increasing appointment time flexibility for test takers.

Thomson Prometric provides computer-based testing services for corporations that need to conduct employee pre-employment and knowledge testing, and test takers applying for graduate and medical school, or those who need to test for fields such as finance, government, teaching, real estate, insurance, technology and medical licensing.  Thomson Prometric’s secure, online test registration service, www.Prometric.com, is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week worldwide.

Previously, test takers only received one appointment time choice per day.  Now with Prometric Choice, test takers receive up to four appointment time choices per day increasing their opportunity to test.

“By presenting Prometric Choice to the industry, we’re responding to the needs of busy professionals who want to further their careers, but also need more test scheduling flexibility,” said Alison Indrisano, senior vice president of Global Operations.  “It’s this kind of added convenience that can grow a corporation’s learning program and the value it provides to the business.”
