Prometric and Integral7 Announce Strategic Partnership

Prometric to leverage technology to manage professional credentials

Amelia Island, FL. (Association of Test Publishers Conference) –

February 25, 2003 Prometric, a part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC, TSX: TOC) and the global leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services, today announced a strategic partnership with Integral7, a leading provider of data management products and services to the certification and licensure industry.  The Integral7 data management tools will become a seamless part of the Prometric fully-integrated suite of products and services, providing the certification and licensure industry a platform for business intelligence reporting for all stakeholders. The partnership enhances Prometric's ability to deliver a comprehensive solution encompassing "best-of-breed" exam development, exam delivery and data management products and services that are tightly integrated and customizable to each client, enabling complete management of the learning-to-achievement-of-credentials process.

"Prometric has a long history of leading innovation in the computer-based testing industry," said Michael Brannick, president and CEO of Prometric.  "We see the partnership with Integral7 as yet another means to drive forward the combination of testing and learning.  This partnership provides a means for learners to maintain records of their credentials and progress, and for test publishers to quickly and effectively collect statistics and keep information on exam performance.  It is an example of both the Prometric and Integral7 ongoing commitment to providing better benefits to learners and test publishers alike."

Through the partnership, Prometric will leverage products and services from Integral7 to fill the technology void that exists amongst all stakeholders in the certification or licensure process, including test service providers, fulfillment vendors, credential verification services and the certification or licensure candidates.

"Prometric and Integral7 share a vision of revolutionizing the credentialing industry by taking a forward looking approach and ensuring satisfaction through game-breaking products and services that put clients and candidates in control," declared E. Clarke Porter, Integral7 founder and CEO.  "This partnership was formed in response to industry needs and enhances client and candidate satisfaction through self-sufficiency and flexibility – putting the power and control in the hands of the client and their program participants."

The partnership will promote the advancement of the certification and licensure industry through products, programs and strategic relationships that will meet and exceed the growing and complex needs of test publishers and certification or licensure candidates.

"CompTIA took the initiative to respond to the industry need for secure mission critical data management services for the IT credentialing industry by partnering with Integral7. We see the Prometric / Integral7 marketing partnership as a major step in accelerating the adoption of these vital services - not simply for IT test publishers, but for the credentialing industry as a whole." said John Venator, CEO of CompTIA. In addition, Venator noted that adoption of the Career ID™ for IT professionals will enable candidates and test publishers alike to maximize their investment in IT certification programs.
