Assessment Endorses Pharmaceutical Reliability

BALTIMORE, MD. MAY 03, 2004 - Thomson PROMETRIC, THE GLOBAL LEADER IN TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED TESTING AND ASSESSMENT SERVICES, and part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), today announced its agreement with the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPA). The NPA is the trade association that represents the professional and commercial interests of the owners of approximately 11000 community pharmacies in the UK. The two organizations signed a three-year contract to deliver the NPA Pharmacy Interact online assessment, part of the highly successful NPA Pharmacy Interact, an accredited training course for medicine counter assistants using Thomson Prometric Internet-based testing services.
