Thomson Prometric Renews Global Test Delivery Agreement With Microsoft

Knowledge Testing Services Worldwide

BALTIMORE, MD. APRIL 26, 2004 - Thomson PROMETRIC, THE GLOBAL LEADER IN TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED TESTING AND ASSESSMENT SERVICES, and part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), today announced that it has signed a three-year agreement renewal with Microsoft Corp.  Microsoft will continue to use Thomson Prometric’s global test delivery technology and testing center network for the delivery of Microsoft Learning information technology exams designed for both the academic and commercial markets.

The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credential is recognized as a market leader for building relevant experience and professional growth within a community of individuals, employers, clients and peers. Individuals with a Microsoft certification and the organizations that employ them possess a consistent set of knowledge and experience for the project or solution being deployed. Individuals can become MCPs through Microsoft Certified Partners for Learning Solutions, organizations that work with Microsoft Learning to provide individuals and organizations with training, software design, consulting services and integration expertise.
