Thomson Prometric and EXIN Grow Alliance to Expand EXIN Certification Program
BALTIMORE, MD. APRIL 20, 2005 - Thomson Prometric, the global leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services, and part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), and EXIN, the Netherlands based global IT exam provider, today announce their agreement to extend their existing relationship to include Japanese language exam delivery in Japan. As a result, EXIN can improve the accessibility of EXIN's IT Service Management (ITIL) exams for more candidates worldwide, and test them in the highly secure, consistent Thomson Prometric Testing Center environment, while providing candidates with improved flexibility in choosing both the test date and location.
Since 2002, Thomson Prometric and EXIN have collaborated on the delivery of the ITIL Foundation exams in English.
"Many of our candidates have benefited from the outsourcing of the distribution of the ITIL exams: all over the world, be it in Kuala Lumpur, Pretoria or Utrecht, they have been offered a service of equal reliability, security and performance," said Joep van Nieuwstadt, EXIN managing director.
"We are very pleased about our newly expanded relationship with EXIN," said Alison Indrisano, Thomson Prometric senior vice president and chief operations officer. "Delivery through Thomson Prometric testing centers worldwide, including Japan, increases the security and flexibility for candidates seeking proof of their achievement level."
