Thomson Prometric Proves China IT Leadership and Quality

BALTIMORE, MD. MAY 24, 2004 - Thomson PROMETRIC, THE GLOBAL LEADER IN TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED TESTING AND ASSESSMENT SERVICES, and part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), today announced its honors received, from independent industry organizations, for the value it brings to IT education in China. 

Thomson Prometric received these awards because of the leadership and quality it brings to testing center services and management, and for its efforts in increasing IT certification test taker confidence throughout China.  These awards include:

2003-2004 IT Training Industry Leadership Award - China Computer World

2003-2004 Best Testing Quality and Management Award - China Information World/CCID

2003-2004 Best Customer Satisfaction Award - China Information World/CCID

Additionally, during the recent China IT Education and Training Industry Conference managed by SOHU.com and CCW MEDIA GROUP, the event's highest honor, the Man of the Time Award, went to John Chen, Thomson Prometric General Manager, China.  Mr. Chen was chosen because of his dedication to bringing value to China's IT education industry.   

The China IT Education and Training Industry Conference objective is to increase the awareness for professional IT training, track this awareness in China and build a long existence for China's IT education system.  Attendees represent corporate and government sectors, as well as IT and Academic institutions.
