American Nurses Credentialing Center Renews Exclusive Contract with Prometric
Baltimore, MD., September 10, 2007 – Prometric, the global leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services, today announced that the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) signed a multi-year renewal with Prometric for a combination of paper-based and computer-based test delivery services. The tests will be delivered using Prometric’s robust test center network in the U.S. and Canada, as well as at a small number of international locations.
Under the terms of the new contract Prometric will continue to migrate some of the ANCC’s paper-based exams to computer-based delivery to maximize availability and accessibility across its candidate base. On behalf of the ANCC, Prometric delivers specialty exams to nurses and nurse practitioners who want to demonstrate specialty knowledge in various practice areas, including: Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Medical Surgical Nursing, Informatics Nurse, Diabetes Management, Cardiac Vascular Nursing and others. More than 150,000 nurses throughout the U.S. and its territories carry ANCC certification in 40 specialty and advanced practice areas of nursing.
