Thomson Prometric and Adobe Renew Comprehensive Agreement to Expand Knowledge Certification Program

BALTIMORE, MD. AUGUST 2, 2004 - Thomson PROMETRIC, THE GLOBAL LEADER IN TECHNOLOGY-ENABLED TESTING AND ASSESSMENT SERVICES, and part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), today announced it signed a three-year contract renewal with Adobe Systems Incorporated, one of the world’s largest software companies, for Thomson Prometric global comprehensive knowledge testing services:  certification test development, delivery and data management.

With this new agreement, the Thomson Prometric and Adobe relationship expanded to include Thomson Prometric data management services. 

“Thomson Prometric data management services provide us the ability to more efficiently manage and grow our certification programs,” said Bill McCulloch, Training and Certification Programs Manager for Adobe Systems. “In addition, their knowledge testing services help us deliver valid and reliable exams, preserving the value of the credential to the employers and clients of our Adobe Certified Experts.”

Adobe certification programs include the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) and the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI).  An ACE has demonstrated proficiency with one or more Adobe software products.
