Job Description

Prometric is currently seeking a Team Leader - Academic/Federal.

The Team Leader is responsible for managing staff responsible for all aspects of multiple programs of great complexity, directs, instructs and coaches PM and AM positions, and confers with senior management on complex contracts and proposals.  The Team Leader has ownership of the revenue and expense budget and needs to manage the client margins of the business activities related to the assigned Clients and needs to sell into prospects.These responsibilities  include profit and loss, financial reporting and invoice accuracy, marketing, product & service development, and providing leadership and engaging technical teams and operations support for the client's contractual needs and new initiatives.  Of equal importance is the need to manage the sales process to prospects including proposal and pricing development that achieves the segment's goals.


The ideal team leader candidate possesses 10+ years of professional sales/account management/delivery experience with a proven track record of managing complex solutions and sales. This individual will have successfully engaged in sales into professional organizations and led and developed growth strategies that had significant impact, consistently exceeding performance expectations, while working effectively within a mid-large sized, growth-poised organization. He/she must have a solutions orientated business development and delivery approach and be able to negotiate at the most senior levels of both internal and external facing managers, working in a highly competitive environment. Experience with testing, assessment and certification software and solutions would be viewed as a distinct advantage for candidacy.

Responsibilities:

Account Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop annual strategic plans for client portfolio
  • Lead strategic business reviews with client.
  • Work to strengthen existing partnerships and  identify incremental business opportunities
  • Introduce clients to new product lines and internal technologies
  • Participate in contract negotiations

Client and Prospect Sales:

  • Identify and develop sales relationships 
  • Manage and coordinate all internal support aspects of the proposal/bid process
  • Develop strategic and tactical approaches so that each identified opportunity is successfully bid.
  • Support sales efforts of Account Managers

Account Profit / Loss Management:

  • Manage to P&L profitability for each client, conducting monthly review of revenues and expenses and account strategies

Personal Development:

  • Manage Personal Development Plans and review process for Account Manager assignments

 

Candidate Qualifications:

Education:

  • A college degree with at least 7-10 years of experience as a sales professional with client and account management experience.
  • Experience working with the Federal Government at an agency or department level.

Work Experience:

  • Requires thorough comprehension of sales development ( proposal development, pricing, strategies) processes and working closely and collaboratively with sales support, measurement, and operations personnel.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills, client relation skills,  and time management and analytical skills to produce information in a concise and timely manner.
  • Must have diverse knowledge of and experience in the development and operational aspects of products with a demonstrated ability to learn new industries and services; proven team leadership skills, and excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver information to a variety of audiences.
